Eating your way through New York!!

First of all… I love food (especially in NYf*ckinC)

Every bite I take is heaven; whether that's perfectly crisped turkey bacon and lemon ricotta pancakes from Nomo Kitchen, cacio e pepe and heart shaped ravioli from Pietro Nolita, or tie-dye mini cupcakes from Baked by Melissa. Anyways, this is not an article about my eating out recommendations in NYC(although I totally recommend the previously named restaurants), this is an article about how f*cking good food is and why you should allow yourself to enjoy it. Like have you noticed how happy a good steak dinner can make you? It's incredible! Personally, (idk about you) I am forever a seeker of happiness which is something that food can provide. The action of eating good food releases endorphins which scientifically makes us feel good! Diclaimer: you should not depend on food for endorphins, the same way you shouldn't depend on any one source to feel happy (that's where toxic relationships arise... uh oh). And although food is not the same as a toxic ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend, you should treat it as any other relationship. So, get that dessert, order three entrees, it doesn't matter! food is not monogamous... thank God. Appreciate life, mess around, build connections, find new hobbies, eat motherf*ckin tie-dye mini cupcakes! and of course enjoy the small things, because that is where your true happiness lies.
