To drink or not to drink… that is the question (p.s. this post is way better than Hamlet)

Shakespeare wishes he was me💁‍♀️

Disclaimer: I am 18… so these will NOT be alcoholic beverages. You will have to wait until I’m in Europe for spring break 😉 #thisblogfollowsthelaw

hope you’re thirsty😏

I’m writing this post – with my 3-day unwashed hair… I promise to shower right after this – as I drink my cute little green smoothie from Joe & the Juice. Not because I like it, but because it makes me feel like a health queen 👸 … do I look like someone who drinks kale and spinach and artichoke for fun? sounds like my own personal hell… blended and poured into a 16oz plastic cup. Anyways, I’m the kinda girl who prefers to constantly drink an assortment of beverages rather than eat. So, I’ve become well acquainted with the local cafes in my four (yes, four… I am omnipresent) places of living. While my last post was me getting all sappy and positive, this post is going to be the no bullsh*t list of my favorite places for a nice cup of matcha, coffee, and chai.

Best place for matcha: ChaCha Matcha (NYC)

I would sell my soul to drink their iced matcha oat milk latte again for the first time. I have fully considered marrying this establishment the same way that one lady got married to a plane. And I mean look at that interior?!?

beautiful.

As many of you know, I go to school in Florida… which means I don’t get to have my matcha often enough. So, I spent $55 on a 2oz packet of matcha powder. Completely overpriced, but completely worth it. NEXT!

Best place for coffee: Starbucks

LOL jk… I have taste yk

you didn’t seriously think I’d tell you to read my post then talk about Starbucks did you??

the REAL best place for coffee: Jonquils Cafe (Boston)

First of all, this cafe is on the cutest little street ever (Newbury St) and walking to get coffee here just makes me love life. Second of all, it’s in Boston… which is basically New York, but without all the trash and the worry of getting 😵. BUT! I AM from Philly so I am willing to overlook NYC’s crimes because we have bigger issues. What was I talking about again? Coffee? Oh, yes coffee. Iced whole milk latte with caramel is *muah* amazing. They also have cute little pins… go buy one. And I know this is meant to be a coffee rec, buttttt their pastries are what make me stay. They look like these little geometric delicacies that came straight out of the Capitol from The Hunger Games.

I’ll show you what I mean:

The Hunger Game pastries in question

tbh they lowkey creep me out😬 but alas I keep eating them

NEXT!

CHAI TIME!!

the best chai goes to… (drumroll please)

The best place for chai: North Shore Cafe (Anna Maria Island)

Yes, for all the people I go to school with, this is one you could take a weekend visit to try out. Luckily for me, it’s 0.5 miles from my house. But, the fun thing about this place is it always makes me have an existential crisis. There’s something that comes with walking here on a Saturday morning and sitting on a canal-side chair that makes me question my life’s existence. In the best way possible though. Waiting for my order, I always seem to spiral down a journey of thoughts and questions such as: “should I find a sugar daddy?”, “I need to take a nap… for about 4 years”, and “am I a failure?”. The answers are yes, absolutely, and we’ll reassess this question later. Now about the actual food and drink… I order my large iced chai latte and out comes a MONSTER of a cup. Seriously, it puts the capital L-A-R-G-E in large. Along with that, I get avocado toast on sour dough WITH the chili pepper flakes. I’d rather feel pain than feel nothing and these chili flakes definitely got me feeling some type of way. For my seniors out there, or even juniors who already have senioritis, I fully recommend the chili flake method to snap out of it. Works every time.

That’s all for today folks.
